London & Miley

Adorable

The other evening we stopped by to say hi to our neighbors and Miley decided that she wanted to go for a ride. London thought it was funny.

She made herself VERY comfortable

London wanted Amy to take a picture of her baby. They sorta look alike - you think? Thanks Amy for the pictures and letting London always visit the fish.

Summer Fun

The other day we went over to John and Liz's house to take a dip in their new swimming pool. They also have the best deck set up with an outdoor fireplace, misters, and so much more. The pool was wonderful - perfect addition to the backyard.

John seems pretty relaxed

This is Minnie Mouse - such a loving gentle dog. She loves children. I was surprised that London wasn't scared of her. Just a month earlier she was all freaked over Minnie even being within 5 feet of her comfort zone.

A great Sunday afternoon/evening. Thanks for having us over to enjoy your new pool.

Happy Anniversary

Today is my parent's 46th Anniversary!

Today as both of you look back with happiness and pride upon the 46 cherished years - may every memory that you share of dreams you've seen come true help make this a special day.

Thank you for being such a great example of what a healthy, loving marriage should be.

Love Jenni

P.S. I guess we better start planning that 50th

Look Who's 70!

Russ' father, Chuck had his 70th Birthday this weekend. We threw a BBQ for friends and family. The BIG surprise was his friend, Dan Peck showed up on his doorstep Friday night. It has been YEARS since they have seen each other. They were great friends when they were in the military together. Russ had gotten in contact with him and invited him out for the party. I think for once in his life - Chuck was speechless.

One of the gifts that we gave Chuck was a scrapbook of all the grandchildren. We made copies of their hand prints and then they wrote a note about what they remember about grandpa. Leslie then put this together with pictures of them and with Chuck. It was really great and he was surprised.

Party continues . . .

Later in the evening we met at the Scotch & Sirloin for a great dinner. I later found out that this was the first place that Chuck and Kathy had their first date. Thanks to Dan, we also heard some other funny stories about Chuck. It was a good evening and a nice way to end his birthday.

Misc Ohio Pictures

Here is a few misc pictures left from our trip to Ohio and then we can get back to every day life in Kansas.

One of London's new toys at grandpa and grandma's house. She really enjoyed this trike that dad found for her. She can almost reach the peddles, so until then, you can push her and also steer with the handlebar thing. We are looking forward to them bringing it out in August.

She enjoyed giving her babies a ride

Smuckers is in Orrville OH just a few miles from my hometown. They have a retail store that carries all the different items that Smuckers makes and also the other companies they own. Here is Jerry and Russ getting their picture with the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

Rolling Ridge Ranch Animal Park

Russ and I had been here 5 yrs ago with the older three kids. It was just as much fun this time. You really get to see some neat animals up close. Some get a little personal with the food buckets.

It is 80 acres, you can either drive through in your own car and take the wagon ride. The wagon is much more fun. The guide does a good job talking about the different animals. There are Aoudad, White Elk, Eland, Grant Zebra, Water Buffalo, Sika Deer, Llamas, and others.

They also have a petting zoo - ducks, bunnies, goats, lambs, and more.

Mommy had to end up holding it for her, she would get so excited and squeeze it. I had to "save" it a couple times.
