Sweetest one in the neighborhood

We had many many hot Kansas days this summer

 Kennedy really enjoys the water, playing, splashing and being silly

 I can't wait to take her to beach - hopefully next year

 umm . .  yeah . . .  my fingers are still there

while little sis was playing in the pool

big sis was playing here

she has spent hours playing on the banzai this summer

 . . . wish I was a kid to enjoy this

Rapunzel . . . . let down your hair

these were taken about a month ago when London wanted to wear her Rapunzel hair

for some reason seeing babies with long hair like this is disturbing to me

70th

The other weekend we headed out of town for a party

70th Birthday  - I might add

We all headed up to Garnett to help my mother-in-law celebrate

a little football action Saturday afternoon

101 degree weather

Kennedy enjoyed picking grandma's flowers

We had a Crab Fest 

30 plus pounds of Crab

It is amazing what all you can use a turkey fryer for

it was fantastic

had all kinds of wonderful food to go with it

everyone ate until they were stuffed

I don't think any leg went unbroken

Sunday afternoon we had a Birthday Celebration at the church

Shanna, Mike, Sherrie and Russ

All kinds of friends and family showed up 

Sherrie had a couple surprises from friends

My cousin Casey did a video

guess who really enjoyed eating cake?

I made this quilt for Sherrie from the grandkids

They each picked out their own material for their hand print

It was really fun to make for her

it was a really hot day as you can see

playing with the camera getting some cloud pictures

kids + goggles = funny

Nothing funnier than little kids wearing goggles

I love the fact you can see the water in her one goggle

and the water dripping off her face

she looks like she is freezing - it was only 105 out that afternoon

London was playing on the bonzai 

she wanted to show me how long she could stay under water

these pictures just make me laugh

such a goof ball

the other night she was playing in the dinning room

and came running over to me stating that she saw a giant rolly polly

really?  great - how do rolly pollies get into your house?

I have found several of them already

when I went over to the window seat to look

I couldn't see anything

she said, "mom it is right there"

Oh, I see it now - uhh  the rolly polly's name was Nixon

our black cat was laying on his back - feet in the air

yes, he did look like a rolly polly

what in the world made her think of that?

I need an 8 x 10 of this one for my office
