Helping Nana

Sunday night we decided to have egg salad sandwiches.  London wanted to help Nana peel the eggs.
She had a few issues with this one but over all did a great job

Happy Easter

We had a difficult time getting London to pose for pictures.  I never got a picture last year and was determined to get one this year.  Iwas able to get a few this year.  If you are wondering, Yes, I did make her dress.  It was fun to do, a little more work than I planned.
This was the best we could do for a family picture - you should of seen some of them.  Kassade left us early in the morning since she had to work.

He's 41 Today

Happy Birthday to my favorite husband!  How lucky to have your birthday on Easter.  I hope you had a wonderful day.  We love you very very much.   Jenn & London
Russ wanted Carrot Cake for his birthday, so I made him one from scratch - thanks to Paula Dean.  He said it was the best and everyone seemed to agree.  London even liked it. I thought it looked wonderful.

Thomas Egg Hunt

The Great Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Thomas' house.  This was London's first year to hunt eggs with the Thomas/Reed clan.  Each grandkid gets 12 eggs - they are filled with money and candy.   This year Daisy found the "grand prize egg"  $20.00.    We seemed to have a difficult time finding all the eggs this year -  there is still five eggs out there somewhere.
London's Easter shirt I made at the last minute on Tuesday night
Checking out all her "goods"
It was a beautiful day and we had a good time with family.  It was good to have Jay, Leslie and Brianna up from Tulsa.  Jay looked absolutely fantastic!  He will be going back to work on Monday.  I can't believe I didn't get a picture of him - sorry.
Lesson of the day -  "BEWARE" of eggs filled with rocks.

Easter Buckets

A couple years ago I wanted something a little nicer and larger for the kids' Easter baskets. This is what I came up with.   The kids were VERY surprised and just loved them.  I took a metal bucket and spray painted it, painted some letters and glued it all on and added flowers and bows etc.
Easter 2008 is when I made the buckets - I just couldn't pass up posting these pictures.  It is hard to believe that London was getting over the chicken poxs at 5 months old.
The cutest bald baby EVER!

Coloring Eggs

My parents came for Easter weekend.  They are on their way back to Ohio from spending the winter in Arizona.   Friday night we colored eggs.   I hard boiled 3 dozen - yes that was a little crazy but every year I would do a dozen for each child.  Russ would always take a few of theirs to color and squawking would begin, so I thought I would be prepared this year.

London was excited to color eggs - she kept talking about it all week.  Nana showed London how to color eggs.  She ended up having colored fingers and we had several that took a trip from the spoon to the table and then the floor.

Keyton did color a few but his attention seemed to be focused elsewhere - hmmm
