Princess

We were in Garnett for Mother's Day weekend
they have a Square Fair that has crafts, food, and some activities for kids
London wanted her face painted
This lady did a fantastic job - hard to decide what to have done
but she decided on the Princess
Cutest Princess I've ever seen

ten months

How can this precious little gal be ten months old
Life is so much better now than it was a year ago
so glad to have you here and NOT be pregnant
you love being outside
you love to laugh
you love to eat
you love attention
nickname by daycare provider "First Lady"
you seem to love being part of our family
you seem very old standing there
every time we are on the porch this is what you like to do
you scream and holler as if you want everyone to see your new trick
constantly looking over at me to see if I see what you are doing
this all is going by way too fast
but we love watching every new accomplishment you make

Projects

This is what I have been doing instead of blogging

London's very gaudy lamp but ohhh so cute
I just love it in her room - it screams "I'm a girl's room"
 Summer dress for London
I will probably make another one or two like this
I want one for myself
new girly bag/purse for me - Lila Tueller "Posey Bag"
 Easter dress number one

Easter dress number two - with left overs from London's dress
A book I have enjoyed
Love the dress patterns
The two dresses I made for London came out of this of this book
Kennedy's dress is also by Jennifer Paganelli
I have one more dress to make for London out of this book

I have also been working on my quilt
made a baby quilt for a friend at church
head bands for the girls with fabric flowers
ruffled camera strap cover

yes, I have been busy sewing - something I love doing
I have to finish my quilt
I have started cutting another quilt for Kennedy
I have a dress cut out for Kennedy and London
and a couple skirts to make for London
I think I can get it done - they design way too much beautiful fabric
as soon as I loose the rest of the baby weight - I will begin sewing for myself
I have several pieces of fabric and patterns picked out

New Neighbors

London is hoping for some new neighbors
Who wouldn't love to live in this "rainbow" birdhouse
We check it almost daily
no new neighbors yet
hopefully soon

Bloomin'

Just a few of the flowers bloomin' at our house
 peonies from Grandma Velvick
 knock out roses
 columbine
 carnations
 mouse ear coreopsis
the climbing rose that will NEVER die
this rose is probably as old as the house
we have dug it out several times
Russ' comment this year "if it wants to live that bad I will leave it alone"

Everything is looking great this year
planted 6 more perennials
more pictures to come as they bloom

Butterflies

We've had a lot of little butterflies around this spring
London was very determined to catch them
They are very quick and tricky
Finally, she caught one
I thought she won the lottery the way she was hollering
this little guy was in no hurry to leave
I remember running through the neighbor's pasture trying to catch butterflies
it was always an accomplishment when you caught one
We caught  Monarch, Yellow Tiger Swallow Tails,  pretty black and blue butterflies
joys of summer
