A Bat PROBLEM at the Thomas House

As you can see we had a bat PROBLEM at our house on Halloween.
I never realized how cute these little creatures could be.
Getting ready to go trick or treating around our neighborhood.

London with Amy's beautiful glitter pumpkin - an idea I will have to tuck away for next year.

This is our neighbor, Amy. Every year she dresses up for Halloween - she has had some of the best costumes. This year it was a "bat witch". In this picture you can't see the bat on her hat. We found it in Texas at the flea market. She even had purple hair!
After going through our neighborhood and stopping by the Thomas grandparents' house, we were off to get the big kids. Konley was a king this year. Kassade, Peter and Kate (friends of Kass) assisted Konley and London in getting candy. Their cousins also joined us little later. We ended up having 7 teenagers assisting three children.
Does anyone realize what is odd about this picture?
Yes, this is Keyton - now you know what he would look like with straight hair. They had crazy hair day at school and he had Kassade straighten it for him. He claims it took two hours?? He looks like someone out of the 70's.
We had the most perfect day for trick or treating this year. It was fun to see everyone out and about having fun.

It's A Party

Got the outfit
How cute is her party hat? We saw these birthday hats at the Canton, TX flea market - $20! My neighbor Amy D, said not to buy because we could make it. (this is a phrase we were using all day long). I got the supplies and Amy put it together - Thanks Amy!
mmmmm birthday cake - thanks to Aunt Becca who make the cake, it was fantastic!
It took a little bit but she started to get the idea about opening gifts.
Okay - how did this slipped into our household?
London making a grand speech at the end to thank everyone for their gifts
London's two new friends, Megan and Morgan
The party was great - everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Thanks to all who came and could be part of the celebration and those who could not make it - there is always next year. Thanks to Aunt Becca for making the cake, Megan for the sign (it is still hanging up) Amy for the hat and Kathy and Shanna for helping with the food. You are all so wonderful!

Funny Game

Is daddy's mouth bigger or London's hand?
The funny part is that when she has her hand in his mouth she wiggles her fingers around. Silly girl, we do love you.

Happy First Birthday

Happy First Birthday Baby Girl!
Tonight we had just a quite dinner, just the three of us and some cake. This Saturday we will have the big birthday party with family and friends.
So beautiful, so tiny, God made you perfect in every way! Thank you God so much giving London to our family. I loved you before you were born and love you even more now. I am so thankful for every day with you. You have brought so much joy into our lives, will you ever really know how much joy you have given us in one year?
My Favorite

For those of you who don't know, London was born several weeks early. She was very little only 3 lbs 10 oz. but she was perfect in every way, fully developed (heart/lungs etc) and she came home 10 days later. We have been so blessed and it is hard to believe that a year has already passed. We love you so much - Happy Birthday Special Little Girl!

Yeah it's Sunday

Finally today is the day, Russ will be home late this evening after being gone for 8 days! I am so looking forward to having him back home. He was greatly missed in so many ways that I can't being to list them all. He was off on Konley's "make a wish" trip. They did a land/sea Disney cruise. Can't wait to see you soon baby! And tomorrow even more excitement - it is London's first birthday.

Gooooo CHIEFS

Two weeks ago we took the kids to the KC Chiefs vs San Diego Chargers game. Their mother and stepfather also came along. Konley is a hugh fan of them and this was his and Kassade's first game. They finally broke their loosing streak of 12 games and believe it or not haven't won one since then. I guess you could say we were lucky that day. It was beautiful sunny and in the 80's.

A little tailgating prior to the game. Their mother was supposed to bring the side dishes, she brought vegetables! The guys had to give her crap because you don't eat that type of food at tailgate parties. Her reasoning was she did not want to spend all saturday in the kitchen preparing food. I couldn't agree more.

Don't you just love teenagers - I never know what will be on my camera when I get it back.

My wonderful husband is a true Green Bay Packer fan. He thought the kids would get a kick out of him wearing red - thanks John for letting him borrow the jersey but I believe he looks better in green. He did have a few little odd moments during the day, he said it was due to the color he was wearing. (side note - the only time he looks good in red is when it is Ohio State Buckeyes)
