Pansies

This bucket of pansies has sat here since September 2011
London picked this out last fall when we got some pumpkins
I left them alone since they were fall colors
winter came - didn't want to take the time to toss them out
never watered them
nothing
just let them sit all winter
And now look at them
beautiful
full of blooms
they actually bloomed all winter
I wish I would of taken a picture when they were sitting in snow

Easter 2012

My parents were able to join us this year for Easter
They were on their way back from Arizona to Ohio
We colored eggs
This year it was very "painful" for London to cooperate in taking Easter pictures
You can see that in this picture (I had many others like this one)
So, I moved on to something a little more sweet
I made the girls' dresses and headbands
they looked adorable
We hide eggs 4 times
Does anyone else have a  family who does that?
Twice for London
Once for mommy
and one more time for Nana
those poor eggs!

Post

I have been delinquent in posting
just too many other things going on in life
it is hard to decide what to do first during "my time"
I have a lot to post and hopefully will get that done in the next week

Quick post before I pick up Kennedy (10 minutes)

I love my older daughter
you never know what will come out of her mouth
sometimes I don't understand her way of thinking

Easter weekend - we were peeling hard boiled eggs
she wanted one to eat when we were finished
mind you, she hadn't had one in a very long time
I asked if I could cut it,  no
I asked if she wanted anything on it,  no
she skipped out of the kitchen

A few minutes later she came into the kitchen
all excited "Mom"
what?  I replied
"Look - there's cheese in the egg"
She was showing me the center of her hard boiled egg!
I explained that wasn't cheese but the yolk - etc etc
London replied  "well, it sure tastes like cheese"

Gotta love this little girl!

Craft Project

London has been wanting to do more craft projects
maybe it is because I have been doing a lot of sewing projects
and she feels the need to be creative also

London is constantly swiping my fabric scraps
and she LOVES to glue
my neighbor, Megan did this project at one of her crafts weekends
and I thought it was simple and perfect for London
take canvas boards (we even used one that we had messed up with paint)
fabric scraps and Mod Podge (or you can use hot glue)
then you pick out your fabric and start gluing it to the canvas
we just kept gluing away
London's we trimmed out the sides with ribbons
and on Kennedy's I wrapped the sides with the fabric
I thought they were pretty just like this
London wanted to put their names on them and hang them on the bedroom door
Amy D (another neighbor) cut out the letters for us
London picked "let it shine" for the large sign
it was a fun, quick project that she really enjoyed and didn't get bored with
and a great way to use of some fabric strips
something bright and cheerful in our hallway

Play TIme

London loves all this silly play with Kennedy
Russ is the best at making it happen
She just laughs and laughs
again daddy again
