Happy Birthday Dad

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my dad's birthday - yes - I am a little late posting this but my computer did not make it home last night until after 10:00 PM. I did call him and talk with him for a while. I hope you had a great day. Looking forward to seeing you in December.

This picture was taken at Russ' birthday. Russ had been complaining about his head being cold, so they got him some new hair! Pretty funny dad. Thanks for all you have done for us and we appreciate you so much.

Love you Much - Russ, Jenni, and London

Sunday Shopping

Sunday we went over to Legends Shopping - for those of you in Ohio who love Nascar - this is over by the Kansas Speedway - fortunately for us no race this weekend.

We tagged team our shopping with London. By the time we ate lunch it was 1:30 - London was overly tired and had no desire to eat but we decided to eat at T-Rex anyway. Very cool restaurant for kids - if you don't eat there at least go inside and check it out. The area we sat was underwater - the lights in the picture below are jellyfish.

This picture shows a little of her attitude.

Over all had a good weekend together - ate some fantastic food - and shopped

Cider Fest

Saturday we went to Louisburg Cider Mill - they were having their kick off for fall "Cider Fest". They had a small craft fair, live music, food, pony rides, tour the cider mill and store, cider donuts (wonderful - I bought some mix), corn maze, pumpkin patch, hay wagon rides and of course cider.

There isn't much to making cider. Apples were picked and now they are being washed.

Going up the conveyor belt

Then they were dumped into the funnel and smashed for cider.

Corn maze

and the pumpkin patch

It was a fun family day together. We then went into Kansas City for the rest of the weekend. We were celebrating our anniversary - which was the other week.

We spent Friday night in Garnett at Russ' mother's house. Saturday evening we had a great dinner at Cheesecake factory and then were able to get together with some friends, John and Jennifer in Olathe. They just had a baby girl, Lily in August. She is just beautiful.

Fashion Week

I just have to wonder if London is getting her sense of style from our little Annie down the street?

I think there must be some influence - Annie does have a wonderful - fun - unique sense of style that we all love. I can only hope London continues to feel free to be herself and wear the things she feels beautiful in.

Glad it's Another Day

Last Thursday London ended up with the flu or something Poor girl - her first experience with throwing up Poor mom - up most of the night and doing lots of laundry but by Sunday she was feeling like her old self again The weekend had not gone like we planned We were going to leave for KC for our anniversary but not with a sick baby So it is postponed to another weekend Yesterday, I ended up with a mild case of what Ms London had Feeling better today but decided to stay home and take it easy Thankfully Russ will be home tonight instead of tomorrow (gone all week again) Russ gone - me sick - trying to take care of London = NO FUN On the bright side I am just thankful my week wasn't like my neighbor Amy's . By the way Amy - what would happen if you sprayed a spider web with hairspray and threw glitter on it?

Flying Acrobat

Walking outside onto the porch

-then-

"wait a second till I get the camera"

(turn my playlist music off so you can hear her cute little voice)

Siblings

Labor Day weekend when we were out at East Lake, they had these hay bales all around. I thought it would be good to get some pictures of the kids. It took some bribing to get them over there.

No No Baby

Is it sad to hear your daughter tell her babies "no no no" and then place them in the corner of the dinning room, which is her "time out" corner? Just five minutes before this picture, London was in time out. Next I know she is telling her babies "no no" and puts them in the corner.

Just wanting her picture taken before bed

SIX

Today is our SIX year anniversary. In some ways I would say that the time has gone quick but yet when I look back there are moments that it seemed to stand still or we wished it would of stood still. No matter what it just keeps moving us forward and that is a good thing. I am excited about what the future holds for us and all God's plans for our family.

I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband and a loving, respectful, caring marriage.

Just a few pictures from 9/13/2003

This is the same church that Russ' parents got married in.

Things have happened that we had not planned for but there has been many blessing to us over the last six years and we hope for more. Happy Anniversary - Lets see - how about 500,000 dinosaurs today!

"Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned." Song of Songs 8:6 & 7

Garden Butterfly

We have this really cute garden butterfly. She is colorful and blends in beautifully with the flowers. She is very quick and it was very difficult to get a picture of it holding still. The neighborhood probably saw her this week fluttering down the street.

Finally we caught her long enough to get one photo that wasn't out of focus.

Time for a New Bed?

The other afternoon, I heard London crying very LOUD and HARD, up from her nap. I went upstairs and this is what I found. I couldn't help but laugh and to her to wait a moment - I just had to get my camera to capture this moment. The poor girl - mama left her stuck, "high-rised" on her crib railing.

So sad, you can see her tears

Yes, I did finally take her off.

The cupcake shirt is a gift from our neighbor Megan, I didn't make this one. Next time Megan makes pinkalicious cupcakes I think London should be invited - she has the perfect outfit.

mmmm Jiffy Pop

Our kids L*O*V*E Jiffy Pop Popcorn. I always try to have some on hand and I believe these are from Christmas stockings. Kassade and Keyton had a few issues trying to get these popped.

They came up with some creative ways to hold and shake it in order to get it started. They also were fighting over who got to put their popcorn where. Kassade went through two before she got hers popped. First of all she kept catching hers on fire and then she kept smacking Keyton's popcorn with hers and then next things we knew - there was flying popcorn out of hers. So, she had to start over. It was funny - you had to be there - too bad it wasn't video taped.

This is Keyton's

Kassade with hers - she didn't want to eat it - she just likes popping it

It's Football Season

Go Buckeyes!

Football season is finally here. I have to admit that I do enjoy football, lazy Sunday afternoons laying on the couch with Russ watching games. But, we do enjoy college football more than NFL. Our house holds many teams - College: Ohio State and Georgia State, NFL: Green Bay, Cleveland Browns and KC Chiefs (Keyton not Russ).

Keyton is also playing football this fall and he just started this past week. So we will have those games to look forward to.

It probably seems strange in Kansas to see an Ohio State or Georgia flag hanging on our front porch. Time to get back to the game.

For Real ? ? ?

This is what London does when we color with chalk.

I don't get it

Such concentration

Is there anyone else out there who's child does this?

or is she is the exception?
