Finally, after waiting years (trips getting rescheduled), months, days,
making it through the stress of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and no hurricanes predicted.
We finally made it to V-Day (vacation day) - Friday, September 10th.
We were finally headed back to where we started are married life together - Destin, FL.
It just amazes me how much stuff you pack for trips - especially to the beach
The plan was to leave by 8:00 AM - we were out the drive by 8:45 AM
That is a record for our family
With a stop in Tulsa (checking on the stores)
We finally made it to our destination for Friday night - Memphis
After Russ took care of some business we headed out on the trolley
down to Beale Street for some good eatin' at
Day ONE was done
traveled through Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennesse

How romantic to "go back to where you started married live" . . . Jay and I are back where we started married life too, but somehow it isn't quite as romantic here! I guess we need sand instead of just wind & dust!
