TWO

Happy BIG 2nd Birthday London!

You have been such a joy to us and we love you so much. This past year you have grown and developed into a little lady with such personality. I love your bright smile and how your eyes light up. Your silly giggle and the way the word "tickle" pops out of your mouth.

Here is one picture per month over the last year. It was very hard to choose.

Happy Birthday to You

I hope you know how MUCH you are loved

Curls

Look at those curls - they always look like this after her bath. I just wish her hair wasn't so fine so they would last a little longer. By tomorrow morning they will be gone. Since her hair has gotten longer the ends are curling up more.

Bed Time

Out of habit I check on London every night before I go to bed. I must tell you that I did not have my contacts in - and I'm very blind without them. I did notice that once again she had taken her socks off. I put my glasses on and ran downstairs to grab one more thing before I went to bed. So again, I popped into her room to check on her and make she was okay.

This is what I noticed the second time (with glasses on) that I failed to see the first time.

Now I see where the socks had gone. Lately she has been taking off her socks and making sock puppets with them - they mainly like to tickle you but sometimes they also talk. Evidently when she went to bed - she had a little playing time with them and fell asleep playing.

I LOVE my baby girl

Shhh Babies Sleeping

This is a very common scene in our house

London is putting her babies to sleep

She uses EVERY blanket and EVERY dish towel she can find

She puts not just one but SEVERAL blankets on them

She is very particular with the blankets

Amazing - all this going on in the kitchen and I can still somehow get supper cooked

Pumpkin Craze

I just had to show off my front porch ferns. They were so beautiful this year and I just hated taking them off, but it is time for fall. At the moment they are sitting in my garage waiting for their new home.

The other week when the guys were digging out the holly bush - we took a short break to our local pumpkin patch. This place is fun - the pumpkins are still on the vines and you just wander around looking for the perfect pumpkins. They had such a variety of them - how could I just choose a few? Blue moon, Cinderella, white, pink, ones that looked like they had peanuts on them, green, and multi-color.

London was NOT interested in getting her picture taken but she had fun finding different ones. Russ wanted a big pumpkin this year - well we ended up with two of them.

My front porch looks like this now - plus a few more pumpkins on the other side - in the house - lots of of "alien" gourds - as Rob, the pumpkin man called them.

Look - someone stuck a baby doll in the picture!

It Won't Fit

I came home from getting my hair cut this afternoon to this

. . . and this hole

we have this holly bush in our backyard and Russ has been wanting to move it to the side of the house. It is huge and Keyton and Russ dug and dug to get it out.

We (Keyton and I) did not think that it would fit into this new space

Russ said he was getting too much negative feel and needed some positive feel

after a little trimming and placing

it finally fit - it actually looks better than I thought

This is a finished picture of what Russ and Keyton did. They planted a Colorado spruce, knock out rose bush and the holly bush.
