Our Beach Home

This was our home for seven wonderful days

Cabana Club on Crystal Beach

It was bright, cheery and just screamed beach house

You couldn't help but smile every time you walked into the living room

How could not with a view like this

1st Evening in Destin

We arrived in Destin just in time to walk on the beach and enjoy the sunset

Didn't even unpack the car, went straight out to the beach

London's first time at the beach

She was enjoying the sand and having the freedom

just to run after being in a car seat for 9 hours

As we walked on the beach this first evening, Russ made the comment

"Everyone is so friendly - because they are happy - they are at the beach"

My thoughts exactly

"Life is Good"

Vacation - Part I

Finally, after waiting years (trips getting rescheduled), months, days, 

making it through the stress of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and no hurricanes predicted. 

We finally made it to V-Day (vacation day) - Friday, September 10th. 

We were finally headed back to where we started are married life together - Destin, FL.

It just amazes me how much stuff you pack for trips  - especially to the beach

The plan was to leave by 8:00 AM - we were out the drive by 8:45 AM

That is a record for our family

With a stop in Tulsa (checking on the stores)

We finally made it to our destination  for Friday night - Memphis

After Russ took care of some business we headed out on the trolley

down to Beale Street for some good eatin' at

Blues City Cafe

Day ONE was done

traveled through Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennesse

We're Back

As you can see we have a covered a lot of ground in the last 10 days

watch for more . . . . .

We did it!

it's DONE

can't believe we accomplished it

after so many emails, texts, phone calls

it was really cloudy today

calling for afternoon showers

i  really got nervous around 5:30

but we lucked out

the rain was put on hold

just for our family

to have pictures done

it was fun

the Thomas family looked great

Megan is the best!

can't wait to see them

we even got to have dinner together
