Trick or Treat

 I thought it would be nice to have a picture of the girls and I

but one little girl was a grumpy bear

love it anyway

London wanted to be "Tangle" better known as Rapunzel

I thought it would be special to make her dress

found a pattern and did my variation of the dress

It turned out perfect - she loved it

and the wig - it was so funny watching her wear it 

pushing the hair back off her face, swinging her head back and forth

so I braided it and added ribbons

Little one was a mummy

Russ came up with the idea and I sewed up a costume

cheap and easy using an old flannel sheet from the thrift store

I wanted something easy, warm, and no fuss

 Our neighbors Sara and Matthew

Matthew and Kennedy are one week apart

(he is already wearing 6 month clothing)

we had a beautiful evening for trick or treating

it was fun to see all the neighbor kids

maybe next year we could do a theme for the whole family??

London's Birthday

we let London open a gift before daycare

being "super mom" I made two cakes for her birthday

crazy - don't know what I was thinking

we made the butterfly cake for her actual birthday

it is just from a 9 X 13 pan

frosting it is another story

all that matters is when London saw it

she let out a big sigh and said it was beautiful

the Thomas' grandparents and Kassade helped us celebrate

Sunday afternoon she had some friends over for a "Princess Party"

Jaeann, Scarlett, London, Adah and Alex (not pictured)

we started out with a treasure hunt

opened gifts

our handsome cowboy

Alex was very brave joining a party with all girls

she was interesting to make - only had one mishap

decided I won't take up cake decorating as a profession

(too stressful)

glad Rapunzel could join us

she has rousing and sparkles on her skirt

adorned by while and yellow flowers

London loved her and once again that is all that matters

it is was a good "first" friend's party

everyone seemed to enjoy it

"Whew" mom is glad it is over - no more birthdays until April

turning 4

a little girl said to me  "I will know when it's my birthday"

how so? I said

"when I wake up there will be balloons all over the house"

hmmm . . now you are putting the pressure on mom

the house is decorated  - so I guess

someone is turning 4 today

what does that mean?

 what joy you have brought into our lives

I hope you know how much we 

love you

cherish you

and are blessed having you as our daughter

 3 months old already

how can it be?

you are a happy little girl

you tolerate your sister very well

we love your cheek to cheek smiles

you have found your hands and voice
