New Outfit

London goes to gymnastics every Thursday
Look how sweet my little girl looks today
Her daycare teachers love her
This is how she was when I picked her up today
One of her teachers had a gymnastics outfit that her daughter wore
She gave it to London - they did her hair and had her already to go
Thanks Crystal
Showing some of her stretches
Maybe next time that daddy comes to class we will have some pictures.

Painted Toes

A couple things to set the stage
It has been an extremely windy week in Kansas
Tuesday afternoon London and I did our toenails
When we got finished she asked "we paint daddy's nails when he get home?"
I told her we would have to ask him

Tonight after dinner we were trying to decide what to do
It was horrifically windy outside
Maybe a game
London piped up - "daddy paint your nails. pleasssssssssse?"

This is her first attempt - it was so cute.  She had Russ sit on the bench, put his foot on the stool and had do each step that I do with her.
We started out with a metallic silver and then pearl white
lavender, green and I think she ended with pink or yellow - very colorful
she got better with each toe - the foot on the right was done first and look at the left - much better
You have to finish with the hairdryer set on cool setting.  When she was finished she told Russ "NO touch".  I then informed Russ that we were out of nail polish remover.

Confession

Yes,  I watch Tori and Dean.  This is my third season.
When she was on 90201 - I was NOT a fan of hers.  I couldn't stand her.
But since watching their show - I hate to say it - I like her.
They make us me laugh.  There has been times we I have been watching and the things they say or interact with each other - I have actually experienced with Russ.
How Strange!
My comment is "that is so us".
Don't worry, there is a lot of them that is NOT us.
I know it is corny to watch but I like it.

Hey blogspot friends - what is up with the new editor?  How do you load up pictures from your own computer?  It isn't giving me that option anymore - just gives me my blog/web albums/URL.  Anyone else having the same problem?

15 minutes after I originally posted this - never mind gals - I finally figured it out.  Gosh someone needs to teach a blog class.   I also set up a facebook page but can't figure that out either.  Yes,  I am blonde.  No really my hair did get some sunshine added in it on Saturday.

Which is it - Microphone or Flower Sprayer?

I went to the store the other day to get a long handle sprayer for the garden hose to water some flowers. London happened to be along with me. The entire time we were in the store - through check out, in the parking lot and on the way home - she sang into it thinking it was a microphone. This evening she was at it again - this time performing for daddy.

Celebration of the Young Child

This week at London's daycare is "Celebration of the Young Child".  Today is appreciation day for her teachers.  I wanted to do something for them to let them know how much we appreciate them giving their time, care, teaching, and love to her on a daily basis.  I took some metal pails, sprayed painted them, then filled them with flowers - simple and pretty - bright and cheery.  I hope when they see their flowers each day they remember that they are appreciated each day.

Some of the other special activities palnned for the week:
Monday - teacher appreciation - I also got some book and puzzles for the classroom
Tuesday - the PreK class took thank you gifts to those (retailors etc) who supported the daycare this past year.
Wednesday - puppet show
Thursday - muffin breakfast for parents and their children
Friday - pizza picnic

Happy Easter

We had a difficult time getting London to pose for pictures.  I never got a picture last year and was determined to get one this year.  Iwas able to get a few this year.  If you are wondering, Yes, I did make her dress.  It was fun to do, a little more work than I planned.
This was the best we could do for a family picture - you should of seen some of them.  Kassade left us early in the morning since she had to work.

He's 41 Today

Happy Birthday to my favorite husband!  How lucky to have your birthday on Easter.  I hope you had a wonderful day.  We love you very very much.   Jenn & London
Russ wanted Carrot Cake for his birthday, so I made him one from scratch - thanks to Paula Dean.  He said it was the best and everyone seemed to agree.  London even liked it. I thought it looked wonderful.

Thomas Egg Hunt

The Great Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Thomas' house.  This was London's first year to hunt eggs with the Thomas/Reed clan.  Each grandkid gets 12 eggs - they are filled with money and candy.   This year Daisy found the "grand prize egg"  $20.00.    We seemed to have a difficult time finding all the eggs this year -  there is still five eggs out there somewhere.
London's Easter shirt I made at the last minute on Tuesday night
Checking out all her "goods"
It was a beautiful day and we had a good time with family.  It was good to have Jay, Leslie and Brianna up from Tulsa.  Jay looked absolutely fantastic!  He will be going back to work on Monday.  I can't believe I didn't get a picture of him - sorry.
Lesson of the day -  "BEWARE" of eggs filled with rocks.
