Just a few of the projects I have been working on this summer
This is a pattern I got from Moda Bake Shop
A great place to get ideas and free patterns for quilts and many other projects
The top is done and I will send this one out to be machine quilted
I would like to have some different designs done on it
probably use this one for Kennedy
It was fun to do and went together pretty quick
you do have to pay attention to your points when you put your blocks together
These little triangles around the edge are called Prairie Points
VERY time consuming!!!
but I think they make the quilt
This one took more time to cut out than it did to sew together
I love the Mayfly Bug ABC fabric - I had to "fussy" cut each letter out
tricky since they were not lined up in rows
I just need to get the backing and put it together - bind it in the red print
I will tie this one - it is for Kennedy
aren't these little guys just adorable?
This one is for my mother-in-law, Sherrie
She celebrated her 70th birthday this weekend
we were trying to decide something from grandkids
I came up with this idea for a quilt/wall hanging
The kids each picked out their own material for their hand
we traced them and then I used heat bond and appliqued to the quilt
I also did a row of stitching around each hand called "echoing"
I have never done needle point but thought their names turned out pretty well
It was a really fun project to do
This is some new fabric I got in the mail last week
It is my new project for London
she has been asking for a new blanket
I have a great pattern that I have been wanting to do for her
This is the new Bohemian Festival line from Lila Tueller
The yellow and pink on the far left is something for me
not sure what I am going to do with it but I will find something
Busy sewing - something I do enjoy
what else can you do in Kansas
when you leave for work at 7:20 and it 82 degrees out and you come home it is 100+
you go to bed at 10 PM and it is still 95 degrees - this is how it is for days on end
Keep Cool
Sew On

LOVE your summer projects!! My faves are the triangle/prairie points quilt and your new fabric. I can't wait to see what you do with the fabric!
Your so stinking talented with your sewing skills. Wish I could get it down. Still need to do our weekend together. Mom's quilt was absolutely wonderful. She loved it so much it brought her to tears. Thanks Jenn for sharing your talent with the family. Love you!
